Mornings brimming with gorgeous produce, a coffee to wake you up and delicious meals to eat now or enjoy later equals my kind of happiness. Kyilla Farmers Markets is located just off Walcott Street and trades each Saturday morning rain, hail or shine.
From organic blueberries, heirloom tomatoes amidst an abundance of locally sourced seasonal fruit and veg to fresh meat, Margaret River cheese and fresh seafood each stall holds its own little quirks. On each patch you will find smiling faces ready to make your Saturday just that little bi cheerier.
After a trip through Rome sampling the finest of pizza and markets all over town, Gubs and Steph took the next step to set up shop in Bayswater. Their little pizza place is tucked between a wonderfully convenient bottle-o and a rickety old card yard lit up by the words 'pizza is for lovers'. Opened only in August, Old Lira is already a busy little joint where you can dive into pizza three nights of the week. Grab a table and get stuck into a game of fooz-ball over beers or walk out with a box or two. Each base is hand-stretched probably by Gubs himself and topped with only the freshest ingredients. Or you can head to the markets on Saturday to get yourself some delicious sourdough bases to top yourself.
