In the lead up to the Beaufort Street Festival we like to create a little song and dance about our big day. It's a great time to raise awareness, eat good grub and raise some funds for the Beaufort Street Network.
Those cool cats at the Mary Street Bakery are always keen to get involved and put on a bit of a spread. An amazing banquet of breads and trimming like a giant ploughman's board took centre stage and caught many oohs and aahs from our guests. These guys know how to put on a feast. A gastronomic onslaught from fried squid buns, to crispy buttermilk chicken sliders smothered in siracha to joyous falafel balls.
The good folk at Cake Wines kindly donated the wine and we guzzled down a bathtub of Pinot Grigio and Shiraz. These guys have been getting amongst the community and recently declared offering 10% of their proceeds to my favourite local station, RTRFM Thanks Cake!
Big thanks also to Gypsy Cider for the apple lovers and also the crew at Pisconeri for supplying sparkling water.
A mixer of food, drinks and friends of Beaufort Street.
